SUMMARY:Leadership Series: Local NAC Chairperson Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join us on March 26\, 2026 for the Nursing Advisory Committee Chair Workshop from the comfort of your own home! \nWho:\nThis full-day virtual workshop is designed for current Local NAC Chairpersons and NAC Representatives and will examine the complex and changing practice environment. \nThe workshop will examine the crucial roles our NAC leaders play in educating and guiding members through the NAC process and demonstrate how to be active in finding appropriate\, long-term solutions. \n\nWhen:\nMARCH 26\, 2026\n0900 – 1600 CST \n\nWhere:\nThis virtual workshop will be hosted on Zoom. Information to access the sessions will be provided to registered members two days in advance of a scheduled session. \n  \nFunding Available:\n\nProvincial funding is limited to 48 seats.\nAs per Membership Policy 065-M-2023\, and following direction from the Board of Directors:\n\nFunding shall be assigned by random draw.\nFirst preference shall be given to one (1) Local NAC Chairperson\, or designate\, per local.\nProvincial funding not allocated to the above group will be assigned by random draw.\n\n\nAs per Membership Policy 065-M-2023\, provincial funding for this virtual workshop will be limited to wages.\n\n“Wages” refers to income continuance for paid union leave or 8-hours pay if attending on a day off.\n\n\nTo be eligible for funding\, applicants must:\n\nRegister to attend the workshop.\nSelect the “Request Provincial Funding” option when registering.\nRegister by the funding deadline noted below.\n\n\n\nDeadline to Request Funding: February 26\, 2026 @ 12:00 \nRegistration Deadline (for locally funded or funded registrants): March 12\, 2026 @ 12:00\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nQuestions?\nContact Erin Thomsen at sun.events@sun-nurses.sk.ca
