SUMMARY:Leadership Series: Local OH&S Representative Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join Denise Dick\, SUN’s First Vice-President\, for the Local OH&S Representative Workshop on February 12\, 2026. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWho:\nThis full-day virtual workshop will focus on providing OH&S Representatives with valuable tools and resources to address OH&S issues and make their workplaces safe and healthy. During the workshop\, we will discuss: \n\nRoles & Responsibilities of the OH&S Rep\nBuilding Effective Local & Joint Committees\nViolence in the Workplace\nAnd more!!\n\n  \nWhen:\nFEBRUARY 12\, 2026\n0900 – 1600 CST \n  \nWhere:\nThis virtual workshop will be hosted on Zoom. Information to access the sessions will be provided to registered members two days in advance of a scheduled session. \nFunding Available:\n\nThere is a total of 48 provincially funded seats available for this event.\nAs per Membership Policy 065-M-2023\,\n\nFunding\, as per the budget\, shall be first allocated within the target group identified\, Local OH&S Representatives as identified in SUN’s database or designates\,  by random draw.\n\nRemaining seats will be allocated to non-representatives via random draw.\n\n\nFunding for this workshop will be limited to wages (income continuance for paid union leave or 8.0 hours for attending on a day off).\n\n\nTo be eligible for funding\, applicants must:\n\nRegister to attend the workshop\nSelect “Request Provincial Funding” option when registering.\nRegister by funding deadline noted below.\n\n\n\nDeadline to Request Funding: January 19\, 2026 @ 12:00 \nRegistration Deadline: February 5\, 2026.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVIEW FUNDING REQUIREMENTS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nQuestions?\nContact Erin Thomsen at sun.events@sun-nurses.sk.ca
